Andrea Avni is recently retired as the librarian for Sound Transit, the three-county regional transit authority for the Puget Sound area. She has been a youth services librarian for King County Libraries, worked in the county juvenile detention library with at-risk youth, administered a private K-8 school library, and contributed book reviews to various publications. An accomplished knitter and quilter, and an animal shelter volunteer, Ms. Avni holds a B.A. in Editorial Journalism and a Master of Library & Information Science, both from the University of Washington.
Bart Arenson has more than 25 years experience in the publishing, software and the information science industries. A Seattle-based indexer and technical writer he provides indexing, Web development and information architecture design services. Mr. Arenson has written for business, newspapers and magazines. When not working on an index or web site, he can found working in his garden propagating alpine and northwest native plants.
